Our Wedding Day Made History And Was Almost Perfect!
The images provided are of my new husband and I 'playing' politicians after our marriage in San Francisco's City Hall, November 4th 2008.
As we walked out after our ceremony, we and my family joined with the No on Prop 8 picketers outside to support equal rights for everyone!
My husband owns a photography company in San Francisco and has been honored to shot many gay ceremonies in the past few months. Everyone has been anxious to get theirs done before this vote.
My family and I sat up waiting for the Prop 8 verdict, and were sad to see the next day that it looked as though it was going to pass.
Our wedding and Barack Obama's win made our November 4th wedding day just about perfect. We would have also liked to celebrate with other couples like ourselves, no matter what their personal backgrouds, a beauitful moment like we were so lucky to expereince, and have them be recognized as spouses under the law, as we are.
