A message for Obama |
You enkindle a flame of hope in our hearts .
Barack Obama , the whole world needs you .One of our daughters returned from a 1st Grade trip to the White House with a pictorial guide to the US presidents crying."They lied to us that we could become the president .The president is always a bald fat rich old white man ." Obama you are the much needed change. You herald the hope that the voices of all might be heard .

My grandpa was a mason . He had a cross burnt on his lawn when he became a white civil rights activist . Cowards threatened to kill his grandchildren. Still he marched on Washington. He lead his white grandkids to drink from "Coloureds "fountains . He took us into the Black entrance at the back of restaurants . As a deacon of New York Avenue Presbyterian Church in Washington DC , Papa invited Tutu, Mandela and King to the pulpit to speak to rich white society about racisim and apartheid . And they came ! I heard those moving historic speeches . His quiet civil protest made me so proud .
You make me proud too , Barack Obama . How brave you are ! How bright your star shines ! May the God who loves us all Bless You and Your family . May you be protected and inspired . May God be always in your heart and hands . May angels guard your steps . God Bless and Keep You and Your Family Barack Obama !
