    Closing thoughts on Prop 8

So, it passed, which means it was amended to our state constitution defining marriage as a union between 1 man/1 woman....

....but someone said something to me that made me rethink this....they quoted -

"Congress shall make no law respecting an establishment of religion"

Since, throughout history, most people agree that marriage is a union between 1 man and 1 woman in the eyes of God, then, by default, is congress not passing an amendment that respects an established religious idea?

Every person who I've talked to who voted for Prop 8 said they saw marriage as a traditional idea of man and woman based on or through religious beliefs, b/c homosexuality is a sin....if you're defining something as a sin, then where is that definition coming from? That's right, your religious ideals...

Homosexuality is not going to disappear just b/c a law didn't pass. All laws can be amendment and changed or even rescinded, so for all you LGBT's out there, take heart. Your day of equality is still to come....

....as always, all dissenting opinions are welcome, as long as you aren't just being rude, calling names, or realy not staying on topic. Thanks
