    Pickens for Energy Secretary

I am Barbara in Northwest Arkansas, and I am creating this i-report to recommend that President Elect Obama choose T. Boone Pickens for his Secretary of Energy. * According to a US Government website, the Department of Energy has an annual budget in excess of $23 billion dollars and over 100,000 Federal and contract employees. The person chosen as energy secretary must have the management experience to control all this money and all these people, and T. Boone Pickens certainly has years of that. * T. Boone Pickens has been working in the oil and gas field for many years, and already has a plan in place to get America off its addiction to foreign oil. He will not have to "study the energy situation" for months or years before developing a plan. Information about the Pickens Plan is available at
  • * http://www.pickensplan.com/
  • * , and all over the internet. * T. Boone Pickens has 1.5 million supporters - republicans, democrats and independents - he can bring with him to the Obama government. For this reason, T. Boone Pickens would be the best strategic choice President-Elect Obama could make for his cabinet. * Finally, T. Boone Pickens is a self-declared Republican. President-Elect Obama has said he wants to have a bi-partisan government. Choosing Pickens to be Secretary of Energy will provide an opportunity for Obama to show that he really means what he says.
