President-elect will you bring them home too? Gay rights under Obama.
300 Cities in the US and 10 countries around the globe participated in a simultaneous protests against Proposition 8 and for equality. The protests included prominent speakers such as local activists, government officials, celebrities and religious leaders. In the Netherlands the "Join the Impact" rally took place in Amsterdam near the "Homomonument" in city centre. Amsterdam is known for its liberal views and openness. Many Americans who are gay or lesbian living in Holland are now hoping with President-elect Obama they can finally return home. I spoke to two people about gay rights under Obama in Amsterdam.
