Race, politics and the White House

    The 1st Afro American President?

Why do they call Mr Obama the 1st Afro American/Black President?

After all he is 1/2 white by statistic and was raised by his white grandparents in HI.

Does he not have to be more then 50% afro American to be considerd a black man?

What is the advantage or purpose of portraying him as the 1st Afro American President?

In reality,by statistic, he really is "NOT" any more-

    afro American than white.

In a time of Change and "Unity" being presented as a platform, what purpose does it serve to say this?

Dosn't it make more sense to preach change in a multiracial platform of unity and understanding?

Race should have nothing to do with the Presidency and this last election was probably the most racially influenced of any in the history of this country.

As far as I am concerned it was based upon false pretenses to gain votes.

Another pathetic example of the state of our Union.

It is not a union at all if we continue to harp on race--even Mr Bill Cosby (bless his soul) stood in line with pictures of Black ancestors to vote.

    What is all this?

If anything, Mr Obama was more white than afro American just due to the fact his white grandparents raised him and he was 50% white by Birth genes and parents.

    So what is the point?

Think about it and you decide--just another manipulated fact for personal gain in my opinion.

Change can never happen without unity and as as I am concerned "unity" has far from been acheived by the Pilitical MO and agenda of this last Presidential campain 2008.
