This iReport is part of an assignment:
iReport at the movies
I Saw Twilight At Midnight..
...and must say it was not as good as my experience at the Dark Knight... Having been a big fan before the series went main stream, I was having doubts about the movie. Although I applaud Robert's preformance as Edward, he had big shoes to fill.. It's a touch job for anyone to try to be every teenager's perfect vampire-boyfriend.. And in my opinion, he was nothing like what I had invisioned Edward to be.. Still, I found him charming and must say that I underestimated Kirsten's Bella preformance. In the commericals, she seemed to blank and empty of any emotion.. but for not reading the books, I think she did a decent job. My major props go to Kellan who played a fantasic, and gorgeous Emmet, Taylor Jacob with his ridiculous wig still managed to keep my love with his breath-taking smile, Cam who played the greatest-looking villain-vampire ever James, and Michael, who's stunning blue eyes remind me of a teenage Daniel Craig.
I have to comment on the comedy-ish side of the movie.. Although the novel did have a few comical parts, the movie brought more laughters.. which is not a bad thing, unless the scene was not supposed to be funny. In the scene when Bella first has to sit beside Edward in Biology, Edward's uncomfortable actions are so serious that they come across as too serious- and funny. The scene was meant to show the struggle Edward was having, but instead came across as Robert trying a little too hard to be serious.
Had the movie not been based on a book, it would have been a decent movie.. but, like many other novel-based movies, Twilight the movie, cannot compare with the novel..
