Black Friday - Time to ban this practice in stupidity

I was shocked this morning as I stayed at home ordering stuff online from the comfort of my desk while watching the news. Thousands upon thousands of people woke up this morning, drove to their favorite store and then, stood there to be the first in the door. Why? To save $100 - $600 on a Flat Panel TV and related "stuff". Is this madness really worth it? Is Black Friday really a time for us to save, or a time for the corporations to measure the idiocracy running rampant in our country? I lean toward the latter of the two. This morning, a man lost his life when 200 WalMart shoppers took the doors off the hinges when he unlocked the doors. He was trampled to death. A pregnant woman was hit to the floor and is under surveillance with a high possibility of miscarrying the baby. So, in order for the 200 people who killed one and potentially, two humans with a total savings of $120,000 given all 200 people indeed saved the highest amount ($600), was it worth it? If corporations continue to create these chaotic groups based on the greed of the consumer and profit seekers as well, isn't it also the requirement of the corporation to create a safe and enjoyable purchasing environment? http://www.msnbc.msn.com/id/27955316
