Speak What You Mean and Do What You Say

Speak what you mean and do what you say!!! AIG deserves a standing applauses and whistling from everyone. The AIG's company found several resolutions for saving employment in the city Charlotte, NC and the employers do not have to worry of losing their jobs at this point. One resolution was an extreme reduction from millions to a dollar for the Chief Executive Edward Liddy for 2008 and 2009. Liddy will receive an undisclosed number of stocks. Therefore, Liddy will earn two dollars for the years 2008 & 2009 and company stocks. Second resolution is restricting the salaries of the next level of executives under the Chief Executive. Third resolution was forfeiting yearly bonuses and raises in salaries of the top seven AIG's executives for 2008 -2009. Fourth resolution was forfeiting raises in salaries for the next 50 AIG's executives. Last resolution was terminating 14 chosen compensation programs which $500 million will be postpone in the first four months of 2009. In conclusion, this is a start and any little thing can help these business & employees. I cannot imagine making large salaries as these executives do each day. I am a nurse who saves lives every day, I am the physician's eyes and ears, and I am closest to the patient and I am busting my butt day after day with 12 - 20 patients. My salary is minimal wage compare to their salaries and I am overworked. Who cares? This company has made drastic changes to help themselves during these difficult times. AIG is contributing in the recovery of their company and I praise them for taking drastic measures whereas, others are not.
