    Reactions to Mumbai attacks

    More from sunethra

    My tears for you....

I am a Sri Lankan, and I have been listening to the Mumbai attacks from the day it happened on Wed, our time 3.00 a.m. in the morning and from that time onwards to the live broadcasts from CNN International, shown - my eyes were only glued to CNN TV with great shock and horror as the drama in real life unfolded before my very eyes. At the same time I was also on ireport web site talking back and forth to my friends about this horror, there are no words in which to express how shocked and sad I am for all those innocent people who lost their lives, in this carnage, no words of comfort can bring back those innocent people back to their loved ones, but still please know that my thoughts and fervernt prayers are with you, I feel your pain anguish and horror, and keep asking myself 'why' The injured the maimed and also to all the journalists who were at the spot and who braved this horror and risked their own lives to give us all the news, without the CNN staff we would not even know what was happening. My grateful thanks to all the teams of journlists out there, people like Andrew Stevens, Sara Sidner, Mallika Kapoor, Nic Robertsonm Matthew Chance and others who had to brave their way through this carnage to give us news. I have had a weeks sleepless nights watching this live carnage take place, thinking about the hostages, the dead, the maimed, the loved ones way back at home, worrying about their families safety, and the awful dread of knowing that some of them would never come back home.

My heart goes out to all the people of India and Mumbai, and all countries who go through terrorism globally.

This nightmare and horror is now in my mind and it is a constant reminder to me how fragile life can be.

My heartfelt sympathies to the families who have lost their beloved ones at the hands of terrorism - and I weep for you......
