Pollution is the introduction of contaminants into an environment that causes instability, disorder, harm or discomfort to the physical systems or living organisms they are in.1 Pollution can take the form of chemical substances, or energy, such as noise, heat, or light energy. Pollutants, the elements of pollution, can be foreign substances or energies, or naturally occurring; when naturally occurring, they are considered contaminants when they exceed natural levels. Pollution is often classed as point source or nonpoint source pollution.
Around our world you can see forests, fields, lakes, rivers, farms, factories, houses, and busy cities. All of these are our environments. We all live in a place where much of our trash can be recycled. Instead of just recycling or putting the trash in garbage cans some people just throw the garbage out where it will pollute our environment. You may have heard that this is called littering.
put your trash in right place.
problum with litter.
Every Georgian gets rid of about 6.3 pounds of litter each day.
18% of litter goes into streams and other waterways.
The most commonly trash found is cigarette butts, fast food wrappers, and aluminum cans
