Boquete Panama New Training Ground For FEMA?

    Boquete, Panama

    December 2, 2008

It's not likely to happen, but those good ol' boys at FEMA (Federal Emergency Management Agency) in the United States could learn a thing or two about restoring city services and arterials by watching how we do it in Panama.

Panamanian President Martin Torrijos wasted little time when he ordered a fleet of heavy equipment and an army of operators and technicians to descend upon Boquete to repair gaping roadway holes, move tons of earth and restring miles of electric and communication cable.

Residents, business owners, tourists and travelers were left speechless as they observed the skillfully orchestrated restoration mission.

    MISSION ACCOMPLISHED!

For those of you who are planning a trip to Boquete, do so with complete confidence!

All arterials are clean and green - the David airport was never affected and the summertime weather is on its way!

Local hotels are fully operational and would delight in attending to your every need.

A diverse and savory menu awaits the enthusiastic visitor at the many fine restaurants laced throughout Boquete.

Boquete tour operators are at full swing and they invite you to revel in the glorious natural wonders that make Boquete so truly awe inspiring.

Consult Boquete411 - the Boquete business directory at http://www.Boquete411.com for a comprehensive listing of local hotels, tour operators, Inns, hotels and related visitor and recreational services.

"Oh barista, pour me a large espresso, por favor...."
