This iReport is part of an assignment:
Are you worried about losing your job? |
Working Toward Poverty: Underemployment & Working Mothers
As
part of Blog Action Day 2008 Poverty we'll discuss the impact of
poverty on working mothers within our own communities with Dr. Mary
Gatta, Senior Advisor of Workforce Policy and Research at the Center
for Women and Work at Rutgers University. Many of our citizens work
full-time jobs that barely keep their families fed. We'll discuss how
underemployment effects women in our community; what we can do to help;
and what they can do to begin improving their own situations.
