Greek Police using Tear Gas against protestors
I am an American student studying abroad in Thessaloniki, Greece. This was taken on 12/7/08 on Armenopolou Street, in Thessaloniki Greece literally forty meters away from my apartment building. The police are shooting tear gas canisters into Aristotle University in an attempt to quell students who call themselves Anarchists, who are protesting the death of a 15 year old boy shot dead by police earlier this week. They also used tear gas on innocent bystanders in an attempt to clear the area, the force was quite unjustified and this morning a friend of mine got tear gased on his way home in broad daylight for no apparent reason.
