    Stimulate the economy?

Ok so yesterday my hubby and I were delighted and relieved to see a check from from our 401K, We had to borrow to get through since the lay offs.

We ran to the bank to get it in before 5 pm, excited we could pay the electric and the car and the cable. All due pretty much by the 15th.

Only to find out WE CANNOT TOUCH THIS MONEY FOR 6 DAYS! THE BANK HAS CHOSEN TO HOLD IT TO VERIFY FUNDS? Upset we left of course, to figure out what to do. Ok so we cannot take cash can we write checks? NO WE WILL OVERDRAFT YOUR ACCOUNT!

I was so angry I call the 800 number and again got the same crap explained, I tryed to explain we needed to pay the electric, and was told by this self serving woman SHE DID NOT CARE!??

We have been with this bank for years, not to mention my hubby was a lil bit overdrawn and THEY TOOK THEIR MONEY!  How are you supposed to pay anything if the damned banks wont even give you your own money much less credit.

As soon as we are allowed to touch our money I will close my accounts all at a large bank and move to a small credit union, this is a stupid practice to hold funds and get intrest from OUR MONEY! Thank you US BANK for making things worse for us! You were ever so helpful.
