Valencia is ready for christmas and last 5 of December 2008 at 19.00 pm the major of the city, Rita Barbera , Fallera Mayor of Valencia 2009 , Marta Agustin,  Fallera mayor infantil 2009,Maria Berbel and the town councillor Festival of Valencia inagurated the new christmas lights 2008/2009. Before the lights were on and christmas concert was celebrated at the Ayuntamiento Square in Valencia. 3 choral from differents places from Valencia and Countrisde sang the most  traditional songs. After this concert the ligths were on and all the city changed its own face to decorate and show the happiness of the city. A big Christmas Tree is in the middle of the square where 25 metres of higher and 5 metres of stars are decorating this square. Too 90 stars with different sizes are putting around this tree which is setting in the main square. Stars and differents style of christmas lights are around the city of  Valencia. This year , The global crisis reduced the number of christmas light in the city and the town hall of Valencia was worry about this problem and take on decission to put less light than other years. Also the lights are less polute to the city because this year they put led light which are better to the atmosphere.
