Freeplay Foundation- Lighting up Rwanda
More than 500 million people in Africa have no access to electricity. The Freeplay Foundation provides wind-up and solar-powered lights to the poorest of the poor -- orphaned children in Rwanda. Meet some of the children who received their first Lifelights, on December 10. Academy Award-winning actor Tom Hanks and the Lemelson Foundation funded Freeplay Foundation's development of the Lifelights.
