GM Janesville plant closing for good
Today the General Motors plant in Janesville WI will be closing for good. The plant has been in Janesville for about 100 years and is a very big part of the city. Both of my grandfathers worked there and retired from the plant and i have 2 uncles and a cousin that works there, and they are all loosing there jobs after 30 years of work there. The Last GMC Tahoe will come off the line at 6:30 AM. There are some pictures of the plant that i have and some old ones in a history book that i found of my city. Everyone is talking about GM closing here and no one knows how it will effect the City of Janesville, hopefully not as bad as everyone is saying. There are other plants in Janesville already closing in result of GM closing, LEAR corp. and LSI, a distrubution center for GM and Allied Automotive Trucking Company that hauls brand new Tahoes to car lots for Sale.
