Ani departed from Toronto on October 24th and arrived in Beijing on October 25th. The information on her visa shows she stayed at the YWCA hotel in Beijing and checked out on October 30th. She traveled to Beijing with two companions, but the plan was for them to separate on the 30th. Ani left on the 30th before the other two had a chance to speak to her. Ani then flew to Hong Kong on November 9th according to passport documentation. On November 10th she contacted her sister, Rosie Kampstra, and wished her niece a happy birthday. Her last transaction on her Visa was November 10th in Hong Kong. The police released the location of the where the money was withdrawn. CAUSEWAY BAY / MTR STATION It is not known what direction she went in after that. It has to be assumed she traveled west as she was planning to fly home on December 15th, leaving from New Delhi, India, but her direction cannot be confirmed. She wanted to go to a Yoga Retreat. She would often stay in hostels. Friends are currently trying to contact hostels in the area via email to see if she ever checked into any of them. When traveling she always uses her visa card. She travels by herself with a backpack, it is Navy blue and black and mostly stays at hostels. She wanted to visit a Yoga Retreat but we are not sure where. She loves to help people in need and doesn't like to visit touristy places for long. She had her cell phone on her at the beginning of her trip, it is a prepaid phone. We have filed a missing persons report in Hong Kong and with the Windsor police. She is flagged as a missing person with Canadian Customs, so any entry into Canada we will be notified.
