Tennessee residents around the coal sludge spill from TVA KingTVA'sTVAsston Plant, want some answers from someone concerning potential health issues. Dead fish and lumps of burnt coal dot the land where 5.4 million cubic yards of coal ash and water burst a retention wall December 22. Folks in the area say they are getting more from the news than they are TVA . No one has been to their door, no one offering advice. The authorities have only said to keep dried sludge off the skin and it could cause breathing problems. The residents want to know should they stay or leave, is the water safe, will their community ever be the same again? One grandfather expresses concerns that his little grandaughter may never be able to splash her feet off the dock, or if the air is fit to breath. He says it is not about getting money, it is about everything they have lost. The whole area is devastated. Residents want a town meeting and get it all out in the open. Rumors are rampant and fear is growing.
