Benedict the Moor festivities
in the town of Cabimas, Venezuela and many other towns in the area, festivities honoring saint Benedict the Moor are celebrated every 27th of december and 6th of january (epiphany). believers dance in procession to the beat of drums and bath the image of the saint in rum wishing for favors or paying thanks for favors received.
