Light Years: Your views of space and stars |
Venus dangles onto the moon tonight
New Years Eve 2008 and the sky is lit with a crescent moon and Venus just below. Just after sunset look up into the sky and see the spectacular.
Venus, brighter than all other planets and stars, will dangle just below the thin crescent moon in the southwestern sky.
As the sun set ,I focused my camera to the heavens to capture the clouds on fire. Waited three hours to catch the moon and Venus.
Happy New Year !
