    Brazilian wandering spider, a pet?

A lot of people here in Brazil, don't have the slightest idea of how much this insect is poisonous. Whenever they see it, they just treat like any other specie of spider.

Some time ago, I suppose it was my first contact with the wandering spider, I saw a friend of mine struggling to tie it up with a thread, I had never seen such a spider so I approached him. Just as I approached it, there was this other guy who came over and took the spider using just his hands! He actually took it with care so as to avoid being beaten.

Some time later, maybe a year or so, I found out that a friend of mine simply kept a traditional brazilian wandering spider at his home, inside an empty aquarium. The funny thing is that he knew more about it than I actually did at that time, his justification was that he had it as a pet.

Well, I definetly wouldn't have a wandering spider as a pet, I'm fine with my parrot!!!

And you, would you have an unsual animal as a pet??
