2009 The Year Atheists find their Voice?

Non-believers are 16% of the American population. That's bigger than blacks, Gays, Jews and NRA members. Yet we non-believers have no voice in our society.

I call out to all fellow non-believers to come out of the closet and stand proud for reason and logical thought. Stand proud and defend our education system from the clutches of the blissfully ignorant.

President George Bush Sr. stood before a crowd and once stated that Atheists should not be considered Americans because this is a Christian nation. If he was talking about any of the other groups I listed above he would of been labeled a bigot or worse, yet no one batted an eye.

Our oppressors are not the only ones to blame, Atheists must get involved. We must demand the same time on the national stage that Christ Cultists in America enjoy. Facing such unbridled hatred and bigotry is not easy but it is nobel and right.

Religionists will be the death of us all if we let them fulfill their doomsday prophecies. So if you are unwilling to speak up for yourself at least put your apathy aside for your children.
