Memories of Eartha Kitt |
Eartha Kitt on Broadway Year 2000
I was looking for the book "The Mayan Prophecies" in my bookcase this afternoon and I came across my collection of Playbill's that I've aquired over the years. To my pleasant surprise I found my ticket and Playbill to Michael John LaChiusa's & George C. Wolfe's play "The Wild Party" with Eartha Kitt playing the part of Dolores. She was 73 and I couldn't believe my eyes or ears, she still was the sultry singer and dancer she had always been. I do remember leaving the Virginia Theatre on West 52nd Street, amazed by her performance. I'm thankful for the opportunity to have been able to be a part of that audience, April 11, 2000.
