    Hi Ali,

     

    I am 26 yr old software consultant, and I am on a work-permit in USA, and want to start investing. I have never invested in the past, I have been working since 2 years, and have about 18-19K with me, of which I want to invest half of it. Looking at the current market situations, I am thinking of investing in CDs(max. 6 month period), and also in Roth IRA or any other place where you advise.
