No artist in country music has waged a more personal and public battle with food addiction and weight gain than Wynonna Judd. Now, in an effort to promote a healthier lifestyle for herself and her fans, Judd has signed on to be the face of over-the-counter weight loss aid Alli. In addition to a national television campaign launching this week, Wynonna will appear in a series of print ads to begin later this month. She's also scheduled to participate in promotional giveaways and contests for the popular weight-loss product throughout the year. The TV spot, which was shot in Nashville, features Judd sharing her story of finding ways to be healthier through the alli program. "Alli has allowed me a sense of well-being," says Judd. "I've passed up a lot of products, but with alli I have choices over what I can eat and flexibility; it fits into my schedule. The fact that it is FDA-approved really struck a chord with me because that means it has been thoroughly tested and is safe. I hope that I can inspire people to be better ... that they can see themselves in me and say, 'If she can do it, I can do it.'"
