    8 years of Frustrated Artwork

Over the last eight years, I have made a vast amount of artwork describing my frustrations with the Bush Administration. I hope that the change ahead will make my artwork more triumphant, but it's good to have these images for posterity, lest we forget. 1: (3 photos) A short and simple metaphor: A "Bush" made from plastic army men, potted in a vessel created from cars, with the word "China" stamped on every leaf. I began this on Sept. 11th of 2007. video: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=VcZd5jWSFiM 2: (2 photos) A dollar bill, serial number G20002008W, series "F". The signatures are firearms. I showed it in Berlin and have it stored there currently. video: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=YB8pqGvZvv4 3: (1 photo) A literal portrait of G.W. Bush, made from chopped toy soldiers and set in cast clear resin. video: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=m-5nYRt9Wqs 4: (2 photos) A Persian Carpet, through which I metaphorically participated in the same project as my country. My media were dismembered soldiers, US coins, 5 pence, and a bunch of automobiles. video: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=9ILgzJBdrQU 5: (2 photos) A picture of our nation, made from gold and silver trophies, with an inset globe fixed on the third world and made from plastic army men. The idea was to dually describe our actions at home and abroad in termsof a pun on the word "places", which can denote geography as well as the winners in a competition. 1st, 2nd, and 3rd... video: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=EKA_-XeSrN4 see more art at: http://www.TedStanke.com & http://www.TedStanke.blogspot.com
