I personally have never seen this much responsibility thrown onto our country, in such a small amount of time. We are responsible for the world economy, the global war on terror, global warming, you name it we have our hands in it. What a work load for any president. President Bush may be the most overworked of all presidents’ in U.S. history. President George W. Bush is not the root cause of all of our countries failures, yet some blame his policies. Conspiracy theorists say President Bush started the Iraq war for oil, if that is true where is this oil? While we watched gasoline prices climb to record highs, driving up the costs of goods and services, Bush and his elite oil friends were to blame. When the financial markets started to crumble, we blamed the current administration. Our government does not control OPEC. Our government at the time, did not control the financial market and is not supposed to, but now does. These issues had a cause, not one of them had to do with President Bush’s policies. Most of us are spoiled, a have it our way now, reckless generation that must stop borrowing so much and start working more. We shift blame, instead of looking at ourselves for resolve and drive. Now the question is, will we work our way out of this debacle or expect President elect Obama to push the easy button? A President is nothing without a great first lady. Laura Bush served her country admirably in supporting our children through the Helping America’s Youth initiative, led by Mrs. Bush, this program encourages Americans to engage in helping young people become healthy and successful adults. www.helpingamericasyouth.gov http://www.whitehouse.gov/firstlady/ Thank You Chuck
