This iReport is part of an assignment:
Inauguration: Your view of history |
Litter Free Inauguration 2009
At a bunch of Obama rallies this past fall volunteers and clean up
crews spent hours picking up the mess left behind by supporters. This
Inauguration Day, let's show Pres. Obama we're ready for change on day
1.
If you're planning on packing on to the National Mall on January 20th
to celebrate the swearing-in of President Obama, please bring a bag
with you to carry out any trash that you come with. Let's treat the
National Mall, America's front lawn, as if it were our own.
I can't imagine a sadder sight after such an historic occassion than
millions of people walking away from the Washington Monument with the
grass covered in their garbage. Let's make sure it doesn't happen.
Let's make Inauguration Day 2009 litter free!
