    He was a stand out versatile performer. His career ran for all or parts of 7 decades and he reached his peak on TV with Fantasy Island.  He lived a long life @ 88 years of age which means he was seen by many during his career, which was very impressive, and also attained the "household name" status at the same time. .  Hollywood has lost a legend of TV & film.
