This iReport is part of an assignment:
Remembering Ricardo Montalban |
Remembering Montalban
On the set of "Captain's Couragous" back in the 70's in Rockland, Maine I met Richardo. I was a big fan of the Munsters, and of course Fred Gwyn. The cast was tying up a day of shooting, when my mother and I approched the van that Gwyn was in. My mother asked him for an autograph for me. I was amazed at all the stars in the van! Mr. Gwyn started to write out the autograph, but his pen failed. He looked over his shoulder and said "Richardo, do you have a pen I can use?" Richardo responded "But of course", and gave Gwyn his pen. That was sooo cool to a kid of 10!
Even at a young age, I knew that Richardo was quite a classy person. I enjoyed watching Fantasy Island as a child, and appreciate what he gave to the viewing community.
He will be sorely missed...
