    Remembering Ricardo Montalban

    Ricardo Montalban

For generations of fans Ricardo Montalban was "Marvelous" as per Mr Crystal.

Arriving in Hollywood in 1946 From Mexico he brought to "Tinseltown" the whisper of almost forgotten many grace charm & gallantry that the hard charging American Soldier of WWII had of neccessity set aside in foxholes & firefights, disparaging the customarily courtly gentleman as "European effete snob & Nazi"

Without doubt Mr Montalban re-awakened the other facit of the North American Gentleman, reminding many that those once just simple "American GI Joe"could with a little effort regain/retain/ acquire the suave and courtly manners of the gentle-man, who does the little things that make life worth living

After many movies [some playing savage but noble American Indians in the American West he became the regular weekly dapperly dressed & imppecably correct Mr Roark of Fantasy Island with Tatto & later as if to remind us of the TV -Culture just what kind of range his acting could achieve he played Khan in the Star Trek Movie 'The Wrath Of Khan'.

    For  All Of Us

    Thank You Mr Montalban
