Celebrate Inauguration Day in Second Life

As a friend of mine says, "If you're like me, you're not attending the inauguration next week in DC. Maybe it's the money, maybe it's the millions of people, maybe it's work, maybe it's the traveling, but for whatever reason, you're not going. If that's the case, I've got a proposition for you." On January 20, join us at Netroots Nation in Second Life as we celebrate the inauguration of Barak Obama! This nonpartisan party marks this historic event in American history, honors those who helped make it happen, and shows our hope for the future. In the morning, we'll be streaming the ceremonies into SL, from the swearing-in through the parade. The afternoon features some of the best live music performers SL has to offer, from blues to rock and everything in between. In the evening, attend one of three Inaugural bashes with live DJs: The Americana Roots Ball, The Red, White and Blue Formal Ball, and the USA Rave. In addition to the streaming and music, we will have art displays and information about President-elect Obama throughout Netroots Islands. You can see the full schedule at http://www.nninsl.org See you there!
