White man or Native, you judge; racist American injustice is w/o excuse!!
I understand the death of Oscar, why he died and what MUST CHANGE. One cannot imagine unless you have been there the depths of the anger that these actions raise. There is nothing that burns the mind and sears the heart like injustice and the injury or death of your child at the hands of the law. The shear hypocrisy and racial bias of our system is breathtaking. I don't accept it! "No we are not satisfied and we will not be satisfied till justice roll down like water and righteousness like a mighty stream." Bad words and wrong tone for many, but a wrongful death via the state is no time for being p.c. IT IS ENOUGH!!!! Is the young man in the attachment white? What do you think? If he were white like me, I would not have such ugly stories to tell. Below link is an account of the night I witnessed an officer almost kill my son. The night he almost died.
Double tased at 17 by an officer kneeling on his back just days after his 1st chemo treatment for stage 4 cancer; he lives only by the grace of God. I feel the pain of Oscar's family as if it were my own as do all who have endured such crimes against them. http://www.ireport.com/docs/DOC-158867
I daresay you spent the last two Christmas' with your children. I did not have that luxury. My son's brown face, 6'5" 270lb self was thrown in jail Dec. 21, 2007 and he was charged with robberies committed previously in the week for which the descriptions did not at all fit him. Below are a few links to summaries of our past year. My son sent me from jail the poem "Equipment" written by Edgar Albert Guest. in the last paragraph: Courage must come from the soul within, The man must furnish the will to win. So figure it out for yourself, my lad, You were born with all the great have had, With your equipment they all began. Get a hold of yourself and say, I can.
