Inauguration Day - A Breathtaking Experience
Being one of the million people standing shoulder to shoulder on The Mall during the 2009 Inauguration was a beautiful and moving experience. While coming out to show appreciation for our new President was wonderful, getting to share this historic experience with so many kind and beautiful fellow Americans was definitely the best part.
Hope was the key word on the lawn today. For the first time in my life, I really felt a united sense of hope for a better future. I hope these photos show some of this uniquely American optimism.
