Aliwan Fiesta 2008: The festival street dancers
Twenty-four groups participated in this year's Aliwan Fiesta 2008 in Manila. Their colorful costumes and stunning dance routines dazzled the audience as they marched and danced along the four-kilometer boulevard that they traversed from the Quirino Grandstand in Rizal Park to the grounds of the Aliw Theater in Star City at the CCP Complex in Pasay City.
Hailed as the mother of all festivals in the Philippines, this event features top-notch troupes, winners of street dance competitions from their respective region. Each troupe is comprised of about a hundred dancers and musicians, mostly students from elementary to college level.
