Full Moon Eclipse on Feb.20th 2008

I took some 200+ pictures of this special event that developed in 2 phases. The first part was partially obstructed by clouds in South Florida, but the second part was crystal clear, free of clouds. The first phase was colored in red, because of the light reflection on the earth atmosphere. The second phase was bright white, with gray shadows and clear images. Other celestial object accompanied the moon on this extraordinary and spectacular voyage: * - Saturn (planet) * - Regulus (bright multiple star) * - Algieba (multiple star, visible on the far, northern side), in Leo Constellation * - Eta Leonis ( multiple star, visible on the far, northern side, in Leo Constellation This was a special event to watch and record. Looking at the start, from our small blue planet, we can appreciate how marvelous the life is here and assimilate this place with a paradise. The same event, total lunar eclipse, will not happened again until 2010. Please feel free to ask for other pictures at hedi@enghelberg.com
