    Oprah's Weight Is Trainer's Gain

Since 1992, there has been one constant in Oprah's life: Bob Greene, her outspoken personal trainer who has capitalized on his relationship with Winfrey to build a dieting empire that includes books, fitness videos and assorted endorsement deals. Recently on her show, Winfrey admitted she had fallen back into old eating habits and ballooned to 200 pounds. But for Greene, who is presumably supposed to keep these relapses from happening, business has never been better. Winfrey just endorsed his new book, 'The Best Life Diet Cookbook,' all but ensuring it'll be a bestseller. "It doesn't bother me in the least," he told the New York Times of promoting a diet book even while his famous client struggles. "Everyone knows she follows my plan, but when she doesn't, she gains weight, and when she does, it's the only thing that works for her." Of course, it's clear who has benefited from Winfrey's yo-yo dieting. The more she brings up her weight -- whether it's good or bad -- the more appearances Greene makes on the show. "It's a very positive thing for me," he said, "and book sales aren't suffering." Winfrey has taken all the blame for this current lapse, and has been careful never to fault Green's dieting methods. In face, Greene sees this as a call to action. "This has been a wake-up call for her to let me get back to doing my thing," Mr. Greene said.
