Why close money generating state parks?
The governor closed 2 state parks, Lowden State Park and Castle Rock State Park, that according to the Illinois Dept. of Natural Resources, brings in more money than the cost to run. These 2 parks are the heart and soul of the local economic stability of the town that borders these parks. It is widely known that the Gov. does not meet with people or representatives from Republican counties, such as Ogle County (he was invited, but never responded) . It is also widely known, that the Gov. closed these parks in retaliation to the Senators and representatives from this area for not supporting his health care plan. What is the Governors response for not meeting with the local people regarding the closing of these parks>
