This iReport is part of an assignment:
What does Obama’s presidency mean? |
Approval rating is everything and bi-partisanship is possible.
So everyone said during the election that Bush's approval rating really hurt the Republican party and not party politics. Let's take that as fact for one moment.
During the election Democratically controlled Congress's approval rating was much lower. However, the voters in America still re-elected them and elected more Democrats into office.
Now that they have control they keep stating, we can work in a bi-partisan way to help the country.
Well looking at the election results, we cannot. If this election was not based on partisan issues, the Congress would be Republican and Obama would be president, because approval rating should have elected everyone and not party politics.
Stay off of the "Bi-partisan" soapbox and just start pushing in the bills and regulations that you want to try. If they fail, be mature enough to admit it and recind them. But they will not because we are working in a "bi-partisan" Congress to help line their pockets, err, um, help us normal citizens survive.
