Drinking at Home
Who is tired of the bar scene? Who is disgusted with the No Smoking rules, the HIGH prices of the drinks, foolish drunks, and the fact of knowing if you have just a few drinks it's really a bad idea to even try to drive home. Well I was.
After posting my "man cave" pics earlier this week and looking at everyone elses postings It got me thinking of the the home bar. A place where people can have their friends and neighbors over to have a great time. Not having to worry about the smoke, the prices, all the foolish people. And above all not having to worry about the possible DUI. Hey I can crawl up to bed, and my friend can sleep on the sofa if need be. Drinking at home is the way to go.
But to a true bar lover drinking at home just doesn't seem to cut it. It's missing something. There just isn't the atmosphere and the same feeling if you are drinking at the kitchen table, with all your friends. You need to have the "bar" to make it feel like a party. Well why not show your bar off. A bar is full of presonality of the one who built it.
Well I built 2 bars at my home my biker bar, aka Brodee's Bar for the colder months and the "B-Side Bayou" for the warmer months. Indoor/outdoor drinking Each bar, as I am told by people that come over, has a "feeling" it has a personality of all it's own. The funny thing is some people would rather drink at one bar over the other. During the warmer months I have some friends that really want to come and drink at the B-Side Bayou and during the colder months others call and ask if we are drinking at Brodee's bar. The nice thing about it is that the bars are always open on the weekend and everyone is welcome. Thank god I have a great wife that let's me have my friends over and has let me build so many bars.
I would love to see everybody elses bars that they have. I hope you enjoy the pics of mine
