This iReport is part of an assignment:
Remembering John Updike |
Crazy Rabbit Cycling Across America
In 1997 I discovered Updike's Rabbit series as I was riding a bicycle across America and dubbed myself the "Crazy Rabbit". I was touched by the realism of Updike's characters and struggles with life.I then went on to ride around the world as I struggled with my own character and just published my first book about my discoveries. Now I'm circumanvigating the USA to promote my book and bring the hope and inspiration of Falling Uphill to everyone's doorstep. You could say Updike was like the butterfly wings that fanned my life.
Regards,
Scott Stoll
