This iReport is part of an assignment:
Thin Mints and office politics |
Support the effort, but not high pressure sales tactics
This is a HUGE pet peeve of mine . . . don't get me wrong, I have no issues with girl scouts or parents trying to help their kids out by selling cookies . . . hell, I love thin mints. However, I used to have an employee who would bring his daughters door to door in our company hawking those damn cookies with his wife in tow. Talk about being put on the spot. Anyway, after two years of the pint sized pusherman peddling peanut butter patties, I changed the company policy so that any employee could send one email informing everyone that an order sheet was available in one of the public areas and that you're welcome to sign up for cookies (gift wrap, candy bars, or whatever kind of fundraising efforts you're involved with) if you choose . . . no pressure.
