    What's weak this week!

Today i read a news article about a 93 year old man who froze to death in his Michigan home.  He was a WWII vet, awarded the purple hart.  the power company had installed a limiter on his home.  According to the article, such a device is a breaker type device that pops at a certain limit and must be manually reset by the occupant.  The old guy really didnt leave the house in the cold, cant say i blame him.  What's weak about this whole tragedy, is that if this elderly man had a dog, and had left it out side i can assure you that people would ahve been knocking on the door and calling the police, ASPCA what have you.  Why? because people care more about animals than they do people.  I've heard stories in my youth of people who have killed people and are walking free today but if you kill an animal they try to give you the chair.  We, as a species need to get our priorities straight! People First, then animals. GOT IT!?
