This iReport is part of an assignment:
Surviving a tough economy |
Recession Recipe: Foster a Homeless Dog
The economy is forcing so many people to abandon their animals to shelters. When money is tight...Why not FOSTER a homeless animal. It costs absolutely nothing except a willing heart and a willing home.
Miranda, the newest member of our family, has become great friends with my golden retriever Shiloh and my house cat Chagall. She is incredibly sweet and needed a home but with the economy the way it is I could not really afford another dog. I decided to foster instead.
When you foster, often time as in my case, the shelter picks up the tab for food and all medical bills. There are so many animals that need homes. Some have issues to work through but believe me, the experience is well worth it.
Think about it. Please give homeless animals a place to live. Fostering is a great way to go!
