This iReport is part of an assignment:
Sound-off |
Dogmatism
Dogmatism: arrogant , assertion of opinion or belief.
I've seen a lot of that on iReports. No doubt from myself as well. I've seen a lot of blanket generalizations regarding liberals and conservatives. I identify myself as fairly liberal, yet willing to listen to opposing viewpoints, but sometimes it's difficult to see through the fiery and dogmatic rhetoric. I imagine there has to be some fairly conservative people out there who feel the same way about ultra-liberal musings.
Even with polite debate, is anyone swayed? Does debate here (or anywhere) ever really cause positive change? I'm curious how other iReporters feel.
