Puerto Rico Nuclear Power Plant--Domes Beach
In Rincon Puerto Rico there is a defunct nuclear power plant built next to one of the best surfing places in the Caribbean. I've seen 20 ft waves here, and surfers clawed on their boards like cats clawed into a tree.
This nuclear power plant is a monument to an experiment that didn't work. I'm not even sure they got electricity out of this thing.
But surfers did get a monument to a great surfing area.
Surf season is in the winter, and waters drop to 70 degrees.
