Day do-over |
Zennie Abraham's No-Do-Over-Day: Jerry Brown and The Email
The iReport team wants to know what my do-over-day would be. Well,
the one I was thinking of, when I -- as Chairman -- wrote an email
to the board of the Oakland Super Bowl Bidding Committee basically
explaining why things were not going as planned and pointed out how
some people could have performed better, acciused then-Oakland
Mayor Jerry Brown of being racist because I felt then that he could
not really deal with anyone who was African American and
intellectually confident, and that was why he never met with me
while meeting with everyone from interns to mid-managers -- all
that I saw at the time were white. Meanwhile, I'm trying to bring
the Super Bowl to Oakland. That day was one I will never want a
"do-over" on. It increased my self-esteem.
