Pet thy animals – Baluarte @ Ilocos Sur Philippines (4/15)

Baluarte is a place where one can play with the animals. My visit here was one which I will not forget. From Crisologo Street, one needs to take a 10 minute tricycle ride to the place. Once you get here, you are welcomed with tour guides who will accompany you upon request. There are a lot of birds who will welcome you as well and you have the option to interact with them by feeding them or having your picture taken up close. They have a feeding area where you can feed ostriches, camels, llamas and mini horses. Traversing further you will encounter reptiles and turkeys. They also have deers and a lot of tigers.

This place is owned and maintained by former Ilocos Sur Governor Chavit Singson who also has a mansion nearby.
